How is the test done?
The procedure of Anti TPO Test is same as every other blood tests. A nurse will put a tight elastic band around your arm so it will be easy to find the vein to inject the needle. The needle site will be cleaned with a disinfectant liquid.
The needle will be injected slowly into the vein to draw the blood sample for the test. After drawing enough blood sample, a cotton ball will be used to put pressure on the site to stop bleeding. Then a band aid will be put on the needle site.
