What is Sleep Study?
Sleep Study which is also called as Polysomnography is done when you are fully asleep. It helps to monitor your sleeping patterns and habits. How is the procedure performed?
Sleep test is performed in a special room to make it comfortable for you to sleep. In most case, to make it more comfortable to the patients the sleep study is done at home. The procedure normally begins two hours before your normal bedtime. You can carry your personal items to the lab that you keep with you during the sleep to make it more comfortable.
A technician will place electrodes on your scalp, temples, chest and legs. These sensors have adhesive tapes so that they don’t fall due to movements. To monitor the breathing, an elastic belt will be placed around you chest and stomach. These sensors are attached to a special computer with flexible wires that monitors the

- Oxygen level in blood
